IKEA Life at Home 2020

Every year, IKEA do a big piece of research into how people all around the world are living in their homes, and publish their findings in the IKEA Life at Home Report.

2020 has been a year like no other in many ways, and especially for our lives at home. I worked with IKEA to capture, through joyful hands and objects, all the ways people have made the most of their homes during lockdown.

The illustrations feature across digital, social and print media, including a fun cursor effect on the IKEA Life at Home microsite.

The project was completed alongside a creative agency, Given, and an IKEA internal team of Life at Home specialists.

My illustrations were chosen by the client among many possible illustration styles because of their use of colour and overall positive energy.

Working with a motion designer, simple animation was even applied to them in some contexts, such as social media and video.
